Everything Erik Kimrey said at his first press conference

Erik Kimrey finally got the job of his dreams. A former South Carolina football quarterback and graduate assistant at the turn of the century, Kimrey spent 17 wonderful years at Hammond School. He was in an almost perfect place, and would only leave if the absolute perfect job was available.

Kimrey received an early Christmas gift last week when the new head coach Shane Beamer offered him a position on the Gamecocks coaching staff and the job was accepted. Kimrey was officially announced on Sunday afternoon and started working that night at the only job he considered leaving Hammond at this stage in his career.
