See you soon, 2020, 2021 is here! Now that we have entered the New Year, the various major streaming services are starting in January with a bang, as they all have large volumes coming in this weekend. The first day of the month always sees a load of newly licensed titles rising across platforms and this is especially the case in January, as Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Hulu and Prime Video have tons of new movies and TV shows premiering this weekend.
To start, there’s something for everyone available on Netflix on January 1st. We have Steven Spielberg’s Catch me if you can, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, animated comedy Cloudy with the possibility of meatballs, both Sex in the city movies, Very bad, Bruce Lee Classic Entering the Dragon, Horror Movie Gothika and not one, but two films directed by Martin Scorsese, Good companions and The Departed, presenting DiCaprio again.

As you can see, Disney Plus adds Dr. Seuss’ adaptation Horton and the Who’s World! and Mr. Popper’s Penguins, both starring Jim Carrey and Wolverine, another X-Men film led by Hugh Jackman. Not to mention the new episodes of the puppet talk show Land for Ned. Meanwhile, at HBO Max, there are some of the best films ever made on the rise, like the dark Knight trilogy, Chinatown, The Exorcist, some Mad Max photos and more.
On the same day, Hulu offers items like Austin Powers trilogy, the final cut of Blade Runner, alien invasion movie found Cloverfield and a lot of Star Trek tours. Some of the same titles are shared with Prime Video, as well as great movies like Dr. Strangelove, Donnie Brasco and Crazy, Stupid, Love, in addition to all eight seasons of Dexter.
