Ethan Hawke reportedly joined the Disney + / Marvel series Moon Knight alongside Oscar Isaac.
Isaac plays the title character Moon Knight, also known as Marc Spector, a mercenary who has several alter egos – taxi driver Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant – to better fight the criminal underworld. Later, however, it was established as a channel for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. More recently, the character was a consultant who dresses all in white and goes by the name of Mr. Knight.
It is unclear who will play Hawke. The main villain in Moon Knight it has been largely Bushman, a mercenary who turned against Knight because of Egyptian gold. Hawke most recently starred and created Showtime / Blumhouse’s The Good Lord Bird.
Deadline first reported that Shock Helmer Mohamed Diab will direct Moon Knight along with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Production is starting in March in Budapest.
