If you asked UFC 257 in the United States, their only legal viewing option was ESPN + streaming service. So, when the network was inaccessible to many fight fans, Twitter was inundated with complaints from even the UFC fighters themselves.
Since many were blocked, ironically in a week when Dana White was threatening any illegal streamers, I’m sure that illegal streaming soon became the method for watching at least the first two fights on the main card.
The service has apparently been restored to many by the time this book was written, but ESPN has released a statement about this complicated situation.
“We are aware of an issue that affects the ability of some fans to access tonight’s PPV event and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible,” Richard Deitsch from Atlético.
Again, this is apparently isolated in the United States, but I imagine that many are not very happy that they have paid more than $ 70 and did not receive the full broadcast as promised.
That’s the risk when it comes to massive pay-per-view with only one way to legally assist you.
