ESPN believes the Bears will miss the postseason in 2021

It is fair to say that there is not much confidence in the Chicago Bears towards the 2021 season. This was after the lack of changes in the board, where general manager Ryan Pace and coach Matt Nagy were kept for at least another year. And it looks like 2021 will be a repeat of 2020.

Minus the postseason, says ESPN.

While there are still four teams playing in the Super Bowl, ESPN is looking to 2021 and the teams that will make up the expanded playoff field of 14 teams. And they are already counting the Bears in 2021.

Here’s what ESPN has to say about its lack of faith in the return of the Chicago postseason.

The Chicago Bears barely made it to the playoffs at 8-8 and, although they decided to bring back coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace for another season, they are almost $ 10 million over the projected limit and have only Nick Foles in quarterback. The return of these executives makes it more likely that the Bears will go after Foles and Mitchell Trubisky (a free agent), which I do not find attractive. The Bears can also lose the big receiver Allen Robinson, which will make this offense even more impossible to watch. I don’t believe the Bears will return.

ESPN’s lack of confidence is certainly just. After all, the Bears were the recipients of a post-season spot with the seventh extra seed and two defeats for the Arizona Cardinals.

It does not help that some of the same concerns will remain in 2021, including the execution of the crime, inconsistent defender play and projected salary cap fights.
