COLOMBIA, SC – After growing up rooting for South Carolina all his life, Eriq Rice will stay home to play for Gamecocks.
AC Flora Falcons wide receiver star officially signed her favorite South Carolina offer after committing to the program last week.
He says his conversations with new coach Shane Beamer and wide receiver coach Justin Stepp have been encouraging. Both coaches expressed to Rice that they think he has the talent to see the field and help make an impact for Gamecocks.
Rice was a dynamic force in the Falcon’s powerful passing attack last season. He totaled 672 yards and nine touchdowns at AC Flora winning his first state championship in the program’s history.
