Congratulations to all of us for living to see a bold revival of news about the Real world cast member Eric Nies, because, well: We are now living in a bold new revival of news about the original Real world cast member Eric Nies. Hot off yesterday’s report– supported by today’s premiere, in which it was revealed that the actor, model and modern shaman tested positive for COVID-19 – that Nies was forced to tele-switch to Paramount Plus’s Real world meeting series, Homecoming in New York, Nies now too revealed another rather improbable wrinkle in his generally improbable career. Ie, that he was almost cast as Robin in 1995 Batman forever (at least, according to the original Real world cast member Eric Nies).

This is for Everything iconic host Danny Pellegrino, who interviewed Nies and several of his (virtual) loftmates this week about his return to Real world world, 29 long and strange years after the series premiered on MTV. That intermediate period involved many changes for everyone involved, mainly because they suddenly changed from “7 twentysome things with free time to let go be filmed arguing in a home for several weeks”In some of the first reality TV stars on American TV. For Nies, this apparently involved making friends with the director and producer Joel Schumacher, who took over bat Man film franchise after Warner Bros. asked Tim Burton to take his scary clown obsession elsewhere after the aftermath of Batman Returns. Schumacher was apparently so impressed with Nies, then 24, that he reported tried to make some moves to cast him in the role of Robin, which eventually went to Chris O’Donnell, but the decision was (again, according to the original Real world Star, and “Beauty Way” lifestyle guru, Eric Nies) blocked by the star Val Kilmer, whose representatives were “afraid to outshine Val Kilmer. ”(This is in line with the original Real world star Eric Nies, in case you’re having trouble keeping up.)

It is not, by chance, the first time that Nies presents this particular idea, although, as far as we can tell, neither Kilmer nor Schumacher have been questioned about it. Although the original article appears to have left the Internet, therehe said something similar (including the “upstage” line) in 2009, when promoting its appearance in VH1’s Confessions of a teenage idol. But while Nies was certainly a fit guy in the mid-1990s, it’s unclear on his acting resume whether he could have responded to the superheroic seriousness O’Donnell ended up bringing to the role.

Real world: Homecoming, New York is currently on the air at Paramount Plus.
