Eric Fisher’s remaining chefs will lose the Super Bowl after suffering a tendon tear

Initial fears about the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive attack against Eric Fisher’s injury have been confirmed.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the left tackle tore his Achilles during Sunday’s 38-24 victory over Buffalo Bills, according to an informed source on the situation.

Coach Andy Reid hinted that the news would be bad on Sunday night when he said, “It doesn’t look very good with Achilles” about Fisher.

It is a brutal blow to Fisher and the Chiefs, who face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without their initial attack on the left. With Mitchell Schwartz on the right still out due to a back injury, KC is looking to face the Bucs without his two initial Super Bowl tackles.

We saw the kind of damage that Shaquil Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul can do against attackers from the offensive reserve line in the NFC championship game when they harassed Aaron Rodgers, who had no way to attack David Bakhtiari. Fisher’s absence could be a huge hole for bosses to overcome.

After Fisher left the game, Mike Remmers moved from right to left, Andrew Wylie switched to RT on the right guard, and veteran Stefen Wisniewski joined the game on RG. The Chiefs have two weeks to discover the best combination of five to protect Mahomes in the Super Bowl.

It is a doubly bad time for Fisher – not that there is a “good time” to blow up his Achilles. The 29-year-old reaches a one-year contract in 2021 and will have to battle to get back on the pitch, with the season starting in eight months.
