Emma Roberts introduces her newborn son to acclaimed American writer Joan Didion: ‘Rhodes meets Joan’
Emma Roberts is not wasting any precious time to introduce her son to one of the acclaimed American writers.
On Monday, the avid reader gave her 15.6 million fans and Instagram followers another spike with her one-month-old son Rhodes, whom she shares with partner and actor Garrett Hedlund.
And for his second introduction to the virtual world, Roberts nestled it next to a copy of the last book by Joan Didion, who is best known for the past 15 years for her classic book on mourning and mourning – The Year of Magical Thought (2005).

Dressed in trendy pajamas, Roberts appeared to be lying on the bed with Rhodes relaxed on his chest, dressed in tiny pajamas and a cap.
The actress has a happy contentment on her face as she clings to Didion’s new book – Let me tell you what I mean – a new collection of old essays.
‘Rhodes knows Joan,’ the actress wrote in the caption, in a nod of utmost respect to the writer, along with the address of @belletrist, which is a recommendation and book review site co-founded by Roberts.

In an interview with VogueRoberts revealed that she was introduced to the author when a friend made her read – Play It As It Lays. She said she felt an immediate connection to your writing and communication style.

‘I just devoured everything she wrote. I can read your tales hundreds of times. ‘

“It’s a joy in my life when I give people Joan Didion books because I get excited about them.”
Roberts and Hedlund have been present since March 2019 and welcomed their first child on December 27, 2020.
