Elton John was presented with a fabulous cake and dozens of exciting messages from friends as he celebrated his 74th birthday on Thursday.
The singer even declared that he was having ‘the best birthday ever with my 3 wonderful boys’ while sharing a photo that looked like it was taken in a game room for Instagram.
Making sure he felt loved, several friends of the Rocket Man hitmakers and their loving husband David Furnish, 58, also shared kind messages wishing him a wonderful day.

Elton looked characteristically stylish as he rocked a Gucci T-shirt and fancy glasses in his photo shared with his 3.3 million followers.
The father of two, who has children Zachary, 10, and Elijah, 8, appeared to be in a playroom while several boxes of toys and shelves of books could be seen.
Marking the big occasion in style, Elton enjoyed a stunning cake decorated with many fruits and molded in 74 that was presented on a plate with a tropical print.
Captioning the images, Elton wrote: ‘Having the best birthday ever with my 3 wonderful boys. What could be better??’

David also went to social media to celebrate his other half on Thursday and shared a fun photo of his boyfriend swinging some star-shaped glasses.
He gushed: ‘Look who decided to dress up on their birthday …. ??

Victoria Beckham also sent her best wishes to her friend on his birthday, posting a photo of their past together on a boat.

Writing on behalf of Beckham’s litter, she wrote: ‘Happy Birthday @eltonjohn! We all love you so much xxx kisses from all of us’.
While Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn, shared a beautiful photo next to his godfather while sending birthday wishes and writing ‘I hope you have the most amazing day xx’
His father David then joined in the celebrations by sharing another photo of a yacht trip with Elton along with some birthday GIFs.
Bernie Taupin, Elton’s longtime collaborator, also wished him well, writing: ‘A very, very happy birthday for my dear, dear friend.

The celebrations come after Elton gave a rare insight into his family life amid blocking the coronavirus across the country.
During an episode of ITV News in February, the music icon, who shares the children Zachary, 10, and Elijah, 8, with her husband David, admitted that studying at home is’ difficult ‘, but insisted that her children have’ been incredible ‘during the global crisis.
The singer told ITV News Arts publisher Nina Nannar, during the virtual interview: ‘It is not easy, we have been here since May. […] It is very difficult, but they have been incredible. Children need to interact with each other.

‘But the circumstances are what they are, I had a very positive connection with Oliver [Dowden] this morning.
“We are in a situation that, I hope, is improving with the vaccination of people, but you just have to pray that the situation gets better because people have been through terrible difficulties.”
The composer subsequently addressed the challenges that artists face to follow Brexit with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Oliver Dowden.
Composer Elton said: ‘When it comes to art, music and other things, I have to take a step forward, I have a responsibility to take a step forward and I want to take a step forward, I want the future to be bright for everyone .
At the end of last year, former advertising executive David revealed that the couple has a a ‘gift rule’ for each other during the festive season.

During an appearance on Loose Women, the Canadian insisted that raised their children to be “grounded” in life.
He shared: ‘We have a gift rule because we don’t need anything, we are very blessed in life.
“What I most expect is Christmas with our children, because there is nothing like Christmas with children. All the magic of Christmas for us has just left the charts since we had our children.
‘It’s daddy on stage. They are very proud of him, obviously, and love his songs, but when he gets home, he leaves Elton John behind.
“It’s always a lot of dad’s work and that’s what he does, but he doesn’t bring him home and doesn’t talk about it in any glorified way. They seem to be well informed about this and I hope it will continue to last. ‘
Elton and David entered into a civil partnership in 2005 and were married in 2014 after same-sex marriage became legal in England and Wales in March of that year
