Elon Musk talks about the size of Tesla’s Cybertruck, updated design with Joe Rogan

During last month’s fourth quarter 2020 conference call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said his company had completed the Cybertruck project and was almost finished engineering. After the call, we report how we thought the call raised doubts about the exoskeleton. Last year, we reported that Elon dismissed the idea of reducing the size of the truck and instead said that the truck would experience “minor improvements” in its design after concerns about its ability to fit in a residential garage or parking space. .

Well, after appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast for the third time, it seems to be the case.

“This is basically it [the Cybertruck] will be similar, with very small differences. You know, we adjust the size a few percent. How about 3% or less. You don’t want it to be a few inches big for the tunnel, ”said Musk.

Of course, he is referring to the Boring Company tunnel. Cybertruck adjusted, but it was “very comfortable”. Perhaps that 3 percent worked.

Interestingly, last year Musk said that 3 percent would be too small, I think he changed his mind.

With regard to production, there may be a slight delay. Currently on the Tesla Cybertruck ordering website, the expected production date for the twin and triple engine models is set for the end of 2021. However, this may not be the case. Musk says there will be “some deliveries” later this year, with volume production taking place in 2022.
