Elon Musk Takes Down the Crypto Wallet App Freewallet After Trying to Build His Dogecoin Fame – Altcoins Bitcoin News

An attempt to capitalize on the ongoing hype surrounding Dogecoin backfired for the encrypted wallet application Freewallet after it was released online in an Elon Musk tweet.

Musk proclaims ‘Your app sucks’, in a blunt tweet addressed to Freewallet

Freewallet, sailing on the advertising Elon-Doge rocket, launched a tweet telling people to buy and exchange Dogecoin in your wallet application encrypted with the man’s own tag.

Scoring Elon Musk has its own risk, as is clear from the direct response:

An hour later, Musk decided to expand his claim by jumping from his executioner role to an educator:

As expected, Musk’s followers joined behind him and joined the action, leading to an entourage of critical posts being directed to the crypto application. Full topic On here.

Musk’s criticism of the encrypted wallets and his love for Dogecoin shouldn’t come as a surprise. The price of Dogecoin soared 60% last week, in response to a tweet he made, in which he posted an iconic scene of the Lion King that had been edited to show him holding the dog Shiba Inu, Dogecoin’s face, instead of Simba.

The distaste for Musk’s crypto wallets and trading platforms is also expected. It follows his open criticism of the decision of several platforms cease trade of Gamestop shares after the company’s price soared to nearly $ 400 per share.

This provoked a reaction from many retail merchants and prominent figures, as an American politician Ted Cruz. Musk continued to interrogate Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev during an interview on the Clubhouse social network, which 5,000 Clubhouse users listened to (and many others in various live streams that reached YouTube to circumvent the Clubhouse 5k limit).

The hype surrounding Dogecoin shows no signs of slowing down, as other celebrity figures, including Snoop Dogg and Gene Simmons, join Musk’s attempt to take the meme coin to the moon. The value of Dogecoin has jumped more than 572% in the last month.
