Elon Musk invites Vladimir Putin to a conversation at the Clubhouse

On Saturday, Tesla’s CEO marked the Kremlin’s official account to ask if the Russian president would like to join him in a conversation on the audio-only app.

“Would you like to join me for a conversation at the Clubhouse ?,” Musk said in a tweet on Saturday. He then tweeted in Russian, which translates to “It would be a great honor to speak with you.”

Until Sunday, there was no response to Musk’s requests from the Kremlin’s official presidential account. It is not clear whether Putin is interested in talking to the technology billionaire. The Kremlin presidential office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Putin is not the only public figure that Musk called for a chat. Musk recently tweeted that he and billionaire rapper Kanye West are ready to make an appearance on the platform. No date has been announced for when the two will join forces for a Clubhouse meeting.
Musk’s move comes just after the CEO made his own debut on the invite-only social chat app last month. The conversation covered everything from memes, cryptography and even a surprise discussion with Robinhood’s CEO Vlad Tenev, following his role in GameStop (GME) frenzy.
