Elon Musk has produced a techno track on NFTs that he is selling as NFT

Elon Musk is entering the NFT gold rush by selling a new electronic music track it is apparently produced as an NFT. Yes, you heard me right – it’s a song about non-fungible tokens, which Musk seems to have coined (or plans to coin) on the blockchain. Musk did not include a link to the NFT, so it is unclear whether it was already active or whether Musk plans to start the sale at a later date. It is also unclear on which Musk platform he intends to sell the NFT.

We also don’t know if the song has a name, but we have some clues. THE loop video attached to the song that Musk posted on Twitter on Monday displays the words “Vanity Trophy” orbiting around a golden sphere affixed to the top of a literal trophy that reads “HODL”, short for the “wait for your life.”

The acronym HODL, while believed to have potentially originated as a drunken misspelling of the word “hold”, is an online slang and a kind of rallying cry for the bitcoin community, because it apparently encourages crypto enthusiasts not to sell their tokens. It is important to note here that Musk is a big supporter of bitcoin. Tesla invested $ 1.5 billion in the cryptocurrency last month and plans to accept it as payment for its electric vehicles in the future.

At various points in the short video, the words throughout the trophy change from “computers” to “never sell”, while a vocalist sings lyrics over the top like “NFT for her vanity” and “computers never sleep”. Did I mention that the trophy also has golden dogs, or “doges” if you want, spinning around it too?

As for the music itself, well … there’s not much to say. It’s vaguely techno music if you want to dive into the genre (with some electro house vibes), and that’s appropriate, considering that Musk called himself Tesla’s “technoking” in a real process with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission morning.

It’s not very good, although by the standards of Musk’s previous work in the electronic music scene – not exactly a certifiable banger “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” – I would say it’s an improvement.
