Elon Musk changes his Twitter bio to Bitcoin

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has changed his biography on Twitter to mention just Bitcoin.

The movement is similar to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, which has long supported bitcoin.

Musk’s mention of bitcoin means that his more than 43 million followers may be eager to learn more about the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

Right after changing the biography, Musk tweeted: “In retrospect, it was inevitable”, possibly meaning that the mention of bitcoin would certainly happen.

Bitcoin has increased about 13% since the tweet (about an hour). The cryptocurrency is currently trading for around $ 36,500.

Last month, Musk asked about converting “big transactions” from Tesla’s balance sheet to bitcoin into a Twitter exchange with Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor.

At the time, Saylor encouraged Musk to transfer Tesla’s money to bitcoin and “do a favor of $ 100 billion to its shareholders”. The exchange came after Musk published a suggestive image indicating that it is tempted by bitcoin.

Shortly after that exchange, Musk wrote in a separate tweet at the time: “Bitcoin is my safe word.”

Musk, the richest man in the world, has tweeted Dogecoin several times. The price of Dogecoin recently hit a new high above $ 0.02.
