The news comes just a day after Page had filed for divorce from his wife Emma Portner, less than two months after the Umbrella Academy actor publicly declared himself trans and not binary and received a public demonstration of support from your wife.

Elliot, 33, filed for legal documentation in a Manhattan court seeking to dissolve his three-year marriage to the 26-year-old professional dancer, who ‘proudly’ supported his partner’s decision to declare himself transgender in December.

Before issuing a statement, Emma and Elliot removed all images of each other from their respective Instagram accounts in what appeared to be a very clear message about the future of their marriage.

Broadway Dance Center coach Emma just returned to Instagram after temporarily deleting her account after Elliot left. Just before disappearing from the app, she made a public appeal for “patience and privacy” and noted that her own “gender identity, pronouns and sexuality” are “private and are not available for debate”.

Elliot last addressed the public in a statement shared on his Instagram account on December 20, when the actor thanked his fans for their support in deciding to come out.

Emma has shared several posts on her account since reactivating her at the beginning of the new year, however, she hasn’t talked about her relationship with Elliot, instead sharing two dance videos and two ironic selfies that show her posing with a potato.

Despite removing images of Elliot from her Instagram, Emma still has a copy of the actor’s debutante statement posted on her account, along with the statement of support and pride she shared at the time it was released.

In the post, she wrote: ‘I am very proud of @elliotpage. Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world.

‘I also ask for patience and privacy [and] that you join me in fervent support for trans life every day. Elliot’s existence is a gift in itself. Shine on sweet E. I love you so much. ‘

She also commented on Elliot’s Instagram post, writing: ‘I love you so much, Elliot.’

A source told DailyMail.com that Emma chose to delete her Instagram account days after Elliot’s release, after being overwhelmed by the influx of hateful comments directed at actor Juno following her statement.

Elliot and Emma have been together since 2017 and were married in a secret ceremony in early 2018.
