El Paso County will change to “Orange Level” on Monday. Indoor meals will be allowed

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – 11 News confirmed with El Paso County Public Health on Thursday that El Paso County is moving from “Red Level” under the state’s COVID-19 dial structure to “ Orange Level ”on Monday.

The governor asked the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on Wednesday night if all counties at Red Level could switch to Orange Level. 11 News confirmed with the Colorado Joint Information Center that all counties in red have the option to change to orange. El Paso County Public Health posted the update on its website on Wednesday.

One of the biggest changes in the move, restaurants can have indoor meals in El Paso County starting on Monday.

At the “Red Level” in the state’s COVID-19 dial structure, indoor meals are not allowed, gyms are reduced to a 10 percent capacity and most other indoor activities are prohibited or limited. For travel, sidewalks and delivery are still options at the Red Level.

At the “Orange Level”, indoor dining is allowed and capacity is increased for a variety of companies compared to the red level.
