This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown started with Daniel Bryan making demands since he was screwed on WWE Fastlane.
Bryan refused to leave the ring and then told Adam Pearce that he should fight for the title in Mania. He suggested and was denied a request to fight Roman Reigns on SmackDown for the opportunity to defend the title against Edge. This was declined and then Bryan said he would offer to fight the title fight winner on night 1. Edge came out and attacked Bryan verbally before a fight broke out and Edge hit Bryan with a spear and a chair shot to the back.
This segment causes a major change in the WrestleMania card. It was reported last week by Dave Meltzer that the plan was, as of last week, for Bryan vs. Edge vs. Reigns in a Triple Threat Match. It was also clear this week that Edge is a heel or at least a tweener.
