Eagles may be interested in trading up to second place for a QB

The Eagles currently hold the sixth choice in the April NFL Draft, and if the reports of Howie Roseman evaluating quarterbacks are true, we could repeat 2016 quickly approaching.

Boston Globe’s Ben Volin is reporting that if the Eagles or another team seems interested in a player like Justin Fields or Zach Wilson, it looks like they may have a way to make sure they hit their opponent.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will choose Trevor Lawrence with first choice, while the New York Jets will have choice number 2 and it looks like Sam Darnold is the guy.

But there is a growing buzz that the Jets will roll with Sam Darnold and his $ 920,000 salary this year, and build the pieces around him instead of sketching a QB. Considering how many teams are on the rise for the best potential quarterbacks, Douglas can earn a second place achievement to add to his collection of draft choices. For a team of Jets that are rebuilding from scratch, this scenario must be very tempting.

If the Eagles like Wilson, Lance or Fields, overall choice # 6 and the third round acquired from the Colts can solve the problem if Philadelphia feels it cannot pass a signal caller, with Class 2022 set to be among the most weak in years.
