Eagles Eyeing Kellen Moore for HC

FRISCO, Texas – First it was his alma mater, Boise State, looking to hire him as head coach. Now, it appears that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in interviewing the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, for his position as coach.

The Eagles asked for permission to interview Moore, according to several reports.

The Cowboys signed Moore for a three-year extension before the end of the Giants season, when he turned down Boise’s job.

According to NFL rules, even if coaches are under contract, teams must allow their coaches to be interviewed for positions that are seen as a promotion, including coordinator vacancies and, of course, head coach jobs.

The Eagles, who recently fired Doug Pederson, have an interesting dilemma in the quarterback with Carson Wentz under contract along with Jalen Hurts, who had a scorching ending in his debut year when he replaced Wentz as a starter.
