Each Easter egg hidden in Disney and Pixar’s “Soul”

Disney and Pixar’s Soul debuted at Disney + at Christmas yesterday. Pixar fans will know that the studio has a collection of easter eggs that they include in each of their films. Soul is no exception, so here’s a list of where you can find all of Pixar’s Easter eggs in the movie. Be warned, there are small spoilers ahead.

Pizza Planet Truck

The Pizza Planet truck first appeared in Toys Story, where Pizza Planet was a place the characters really went to. Although Pizza Planet itself hasn’t made an appearance since, the iconic truck has appeared in every Pixar film, until angry despite being set in Medieval Scotland. Inside Soul, you will find the Pizza Planet truck on the left in the Salão de Tudo (below the plane). You’ll probably also see some other Pixar items hidden in the hall with the appropriate title, including Axiom’s WALL-E (center, in the distance), Willy’s Butte Cars (center left) and more, all in one shot.

A113

A113 (a CalArts classroom number) also appears in the same scene as The Hall of Everything, but it can be more difficult to detect. It can be seen on a street sign on the right, below the ferris wheel.

Joe Grant, Joe Ranft and Jack Kirby

Also in the house of 22 there is a wall covered with badges. While everyone on the wall is famous, there are three names that Disney and Pixar fans can recognize: Joe Grant (center left in the image above), Joe Ranft (bottom center) and Jack Kirby (top center). Grant was a Disney animation legend who worked on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and several Disney films that followed, including Pixar Monsters Inc. Ranft, also a Disney legend, worked at Disney and later at Pixar, including co-authorship Toys Story and giving Heimlich a voice in Insect’s life. Kirby was an iconic Marvel comic book artist and writer.

Members Statue

A version of the famous statue of Disneyland and Magic Kingdom partners appears in Dr. Borgensson’s Hall of You early in Soul.

2319

“2319” was the code shouted when a human sock was found on a monster in Monsters Inc. It is visible on the side of a subway train in New York City (top left of the image above).

Brang

Brang may not be as recognizable to Pixar fans as some of those other Easter eggs, but he first appeared in Inside out. Riley’s father works for Brang and wears a shirt with the logo. A Brang ad is partially visible inside a subway car (top left in the image above).

Luca

Like almost all Pixar films, Soul tips on the film to come: Luca. Inside Soul, A New York travel agency has a PortoRosso poster in its window (left in the image above). According to the poster, you can “Fly with Luca Airlines” to visit PortoRosso. Luca is hitting theaters next summer.
