The Dying Light 2 Collector’s Edition leaked online, featuring a bunch of goodies you can get, including a statue and an art book, but more importantly, this leak suggests that information about the game’s release date will be available soon.
This collector’s edition of the game includes an exclusive collector’s box, some UV stickers, an ultraviolet flashlight, an exclusive steel box, an art book and a secret location map. There also seems to be another bonus in the corner, but the word has been cut, although it looks like some art postcards. This comes alongside a limited edition figurine of Aiden Caldwell taking out a zombie as he parks on a street lamp. It also includes the Deluxe Edition of the game.
With this image apparently on the loose, it suggests that marketing companies or retailers are starting to prepare for the announcement of the game’s release date, which has been delayed several times. Personally, we see a release date in late spring or summer, around May or June. You can see this collector’s edition of Dying Light 2 below:
Dying Light 2 suffered a series of development setbacks, including the loss of the famous developer Chris Avellone after accusations of sexual harassment against him. More recently, Techland has also seen the departure of a writer and art director. The last time we saw Dying Light 2 was in August 2019, at a gameplay demo event.
Dying Light 2 is scheduled for release on PS4 and will be played on PS5 for backward compatibility.
