Dwyane Wade realizes a notable difference in James Harden amid the Nets debut

James Harden had a historic debut with the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night and former NBA star Dwyane Wade noticed something different about the three-time champion.

Wade tweeted a photo of Harden leaving the Nets locker room for the game against the Orlando Magic. He realized that there was a distinct difference between the photo he posted and what he saw when Harden’s days with the Houston Rockets were shrinking.

“Let’s talk about this narrative: James Harden looks happy and there is no price tag for that feeling. He could have handled things better. YES! But we couldn’t all. I’m happy for this black man,” tweeted Wade.

Harden finished with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists in Brooklyn’s victory over the Orlando Magic 122-115. Harden became the first player in NBA history to record a 30-point double-double in his debut with a new team.

In 40 minutes, Harden had 8 to 18 on the field and 3 to 10 in the 3-point range. He hit 13 of 15 on the free-throw line with nine turns. He had four robberies.

Brooklyn won their seventh win of the season, improving to 7-6. Orlando dropped to 6-6.

The Nets played without Kyrie Irving. Harden said that after the game the team will be “scary”.
