Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson did not always grow easily.
The 48-year-old actor is set to be the subject of “Young Rock”, a television comedy series that chronicles his childhood before his days as one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
In preparation for the program’s debut on February 16, Johnson appeared on NBC’s TCA press tour on Tuesday, where he remembered choosing not to “take the easy way” in retracing his formative years.
In fact, he called the process “incredibly complicated” and “incredibly difficult” by People magazine.

The star explained that although the program focuses on what happened in his life when he was 10, 15 and 18 years old, “there are many things between those years that have happened … but it was complicated and the relationship I had with my father was incredibly complicated – it was fueled by difficult love. “

“My father was kicked out of the house at age 13 and was a homeless person, so it shaped the man who then raised me,” said Johnson.
But, added the star, “in this complication came an extraordinary life, full of travel”.
“I lived in 13 different states when I was 13, I also lived in New Zealand,” he added.

Rocky will be played by Joseph Lee Anderson in “Young Rock” and “he did an excellent job playing my father,” said Johnson.
“He would have loved it, would have loved it and would be very proud because for the first time, certainly in prime time, we are introducing to this world, that he and all his brothers in the rings, so to speak, of those men in the 70s and 80s by which gave life, “explained the star.

In addition, the “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” star hopes to provide a “different perspective” for people fighting the family.
“We didn’t want to follow the traditional route or the typical route of what you might think this could be,” joked the actor. “But still, let’s talk about the complications.”
