Johnson took a mirror selfie of his back, which showed a series of round marks in shades of dark red and purple. In the foreground of the photo, half of the actors’ faces looked at the camera with a shocked expression.

The star made sure to clarify to the fans that appearances are deceiving and that the technique is quite pleasant.

“It looks more unpleasant than it looks, but most of all, I liked the therapy,” he wrote to the fans. ‘Always looking for new techniques to keep this 250 million year old dinosaur body balanced and ideal, not only with all my previous injuries, but also with my daily work / training / family routine.’
