Remember Tom Brady’s conclusion to tight end Cameron Brate last week?
No, not one of Brate’s three catches in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but the launch of Brady’s Lombardi Trophy, which spanned not only land, but sea. It happened during the boat parade after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl LV.
Lorraine Grohl, daughter of the goldsmith who designed the first Lombardi Trophy, as you may have heard, questioned Brady’s release. She even apologized to the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Well, Brady’s former teammate, Duron Harmon, issued an answer that those across New England have probably been saying for days.
“So she didn’t care when Gronk hit the ball with the Lombardi trophy two years ago,” Harmon tweeted on Monday.
Harmon is not the only one who is laughing at the idea of Brady’s apology too. Even Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht had a good-natured response on Monday.
Harmon was negotiated with the Detroit Lions last season, ending his seven-year season with Brady and the Patriots.
