Duke out of ACC tournament after positive COVID-19 result within the program

Duke is out of the ACC tournament after a positive COVID-19 test within the program, sources told ESPN.

The Blue Devils were scheduled to play at Florida State in the ACC quarterfinals on Thursday.

Duke defeated Louisville 70-56 on Wednesday to keep his NCAA tournament hopes alive. The Blue Devils moved to Joe Lunardi’s Next Four Out in his latest Bracketology; they needed to defeat the state of Florida and perhaps win another victory to receive a general offer on Sunday.

With Duke leaving the ACC tournament, however, the Blue Devils are unlikely to make the NCAA tournament. It would be his first absence from the NCAA tournament since 1995.

The stadium first reported the problems with Duke’s COVID-19 and the subsequent withdrawal from the ACC tournament.
