The season was probably over for the men’s basketball team Duke after their next ACC tournament game was canceled due to a coronavirus problem within the team, the conference announced.
Duke made it to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament and probably needed to win to get a chance to make it to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament this month. CBS Sports and Stadium were among the first to report Duke’s decision.

Later, the ACC would issue a statement confirming that Duke’s game against the State of Florida was canceled.
Except for some kind of miracle, Duke will probably not be selected to play in the tournament for the first time since the 1994-95 season. Duke was 13-11 years old and won Boston College and Louisville in the first two rounds of the tournament.
The Blue Devils have had a difficult season.

Duke had lost to qualified teams Michigan State and Illinois at the start of the season and at one point lost six of the eight conference games in the middle of the season. Duke ended the regular season by losing three consecutive games, including two games in overtime and a defeat against rival North Carolina.
Blue Devils freshman Jalen Johnson opted out of the season in February and declared for the NBA Draft.

Duke will wait patiently to see if his name will be called up for Sunday’s tournament. They were supposed to play Florida State on Thursday night in the next round of the conference tournament.
