Duchess of Cambridge returns to wearing £ 5 Accessorize earrings in video call with Prince William

The Duchess of Cambridge demonstrated once again her economical approach to dress, again wearing a pair of favorite British street earrings during her last appearance.

In a touching video call, released yesterday via Instagram, Kate, 39, and Prince William, 38, spoke to a 12-year-old suicide boy who was helped by the Shout text counseling service.

The couple heard how the young man, who was named Jack to protect his identity, was standing on a high bridge without the knowledge of his loving and supportive parents when he contacted Shout – a crisis line that the Cambridges launched as part of their Heads Together campaign with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May 2019.

A mother of three, Kate looked elegant in appearance, opting for a low-key look, complete with her favorite £ 5 Accessorize rims, which sold out en masse when she used them last year.

The duchess, who is known for mixing sophisticated fashion designers with street robberies, wore the low-cost shop’s modern set of gold rims, alongside a recycled Equipment £ 200 polka dot shirt.

Kate first wore the black and white polka dot blouse to visit Evelina London’s Sunshine House in Peckham, south London, in 2019.

For her appearance yesterday, royal showed off glamorous makeup with a touch of sparkling eyeshadow and a touch of suntan, and pulled her hair in a modern style half up, half down to reveal the trendy bargain earrings.

Online, elegant earrings are described as ‘simple but attractive’ and feature a ‘textured, twisted surface that glows in the light’.

Kate debuted the stunning pair of earrings during an evening reception in Ireland in March last year.

In a video clip of the conversation of the royal couple shared with the Shout out On yesterday’s Twitter page, the boy’s father told Kate and William that they ‘had no doubt’ that Jack’s conversation with a Shout volunteer that night when he was standing on that bridge was ‘enough to save his life’ .

The parents only found out what had happened when they were contacted by the emergency services to report that Jack was fine.

Kate said, ‘I can’t imagine, as parents, I can’t imagine what it has been like for you, and the worst nightmare of all parents is getting the call you received that night.’

William added: ‘Shout has effectively bridged the gap between a point of crisis and despair and brought him back to give him peace and calm for a while to work things out and find that support.’

During the private conversation, the duke and duchess talked to Jack and his parents, who described what the experience had been like for the family.

They talked about the intimate and loving relationship they have with all their children, their ability to speak and listen as a family about difficult things and their busy and fun home. However, despite this, they had not realized the extent of the great anguish their son Jack had found himself in during his confinement.

The duke and duchess heard how they realized that their once open, gregarious, amusing and loving son had become more introverted during the Covid-19 blockade in the spring and summer of 2020.

Jack spent more and more time alone, no longer connecting with his friends online or over the phone and struggling with the online school. Jack became increasingly concerned about the future and whether life would return to some kind of normalcy. His father described how there was no trigger for Jack’s anxiety, which made it more difficult to understand how bad things had become.

The duke and duchess learned how, when Jack returned to school in the fall of last year, his anxiety increased. What Jack’s family did not know was that he had reached a dangerous level where the only solution he could see was to end his life. Jack’s parents explained how he had come to Shout at a crucial moment and, during a text conversation, a volunteer managed to prevent Jack from ending his life.

Jack agreed with the duke that having a text message conversation with Shout, instead of speaking aloud, made it easier to be open about difficult emotions. He told the duke and duchess that more children and young people should learn about mental health and how to talk to others about their feelings.

The duke and duchess told Jack how incredibly brave he was in sharing his story to raise awareness of mental health issues and the support that Shout 85258 provides.

Shout is a legacy of the Heads Together campaign launched by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after an investment of £ 3 million from the Royal Foundation. Meghan and Harry ceased to be senior members of the Royal Family and were stripped of their sponsorship by the Queen last month.
