Brees, who is expected to announce his plans for his future in the NFL in the coming weeks, had a training video posted by trainer Todd Durkin that raises the question of whether the future Hall of Fame quarterback will actually retire in 2021.
Based on the amount of weight Brees is pushing, the speed with which he moves the weights and the distance he pushes them – he doesn’t look like a quarterback who is thinking about not playing football again, even at 42.
Brees and Santos are reportedly agreed to renegotiate their contract, which will reduce their wage cap collection by nearly $ 24 million. While Brees takes his time to retire, the Saints can keep their salary cap at $ 12.225 million.
