Drew Barrymore reveals that his kids don’t care about their classic roles in a chat with Hugh Grant

She has starred in several modern classics since she was just a child in the 1980s.

But Drew Barrymore revealed on Wednesday in a chat with his music and lyrics Hugh Grant for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation that his children don’t care about any of his most remembered films.

“They call them ‘mom movies’,” admitted the 45-year-old actress.

Drew shares two young daughters – Olive, eight and Frankie, six – with her ex-husband Will Kopelman.

According to her, the children have seen some of their most beloved and critically rated films, including ET: Steven Spielberg’s Extraterrestrial, his romantic comedy by Adam Sandler, 50 First Dates and his high school romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, all the that left them cold.

Hugh, 60, was shocked when he asked Drew if the girls had liked the film they made together, Music and Letters.

She admitted, ‘You know, I don’t think they saw it, crazy enough.’

Hugh’s response made the Santa Clarita Diet star promise to show music and lyrics to his daughters.

“I think I will force them to watch,” she said.

However, Donnie Darko’s actress doesn’t think her distaste for her work will last forever.

‘This is like phases in their lives,’ she mused. – They’ll change their mind.

Meanwhile, Drew previously admitted that while she is happy to talk about her own life, she tries to be more responsible in sharing when it comes to her children.

‘My life with my children, my feelings, everything is at stake – but [Olive and Frankie themselves] they are not, ‘she said on her new talk show The Drew Barrymore Show.

‘Because of my life experiences, I am not selling my brand to my children. I will not do it. But ignoring that part of my life would make me an automaton.

“So it’s very inventive to figure out how to put them in the omelet and fold it in a way that seems appropriate to me.”

She also interviewed herself while playing the Never Been Kissed character Josie Grossie, who was still in prison in the late 1980s.

In the romantic comedy, the defiant actress played a newspaper editor who has not yet found romance in her life.

When she takes on the task of posing as a high school student, she finds herself returning to the same patterns that made her life so painful.
