Drew Barrymore will be 46 next week and we already know that she will have a surprise: David Letterman.
A preview of Monday’s “The Drew Barrymore Show” birthday party fell off, revealing a visit from Barrymore’s favorite talk show host.
There is a lot of history there. She appeared on Letterman’s “The Late Show” 20 times, noted “Entertainment Tonight”. Once, in 1995, she got up on her desk and showed him.
Letterman’s similar antics are probably not on Barrymore’s own talk show. But the sneak peek shows the comedian groping in a Zoom chat with Barrymore and Savannah Guthrie. He then pretends to give up in frustration and enters the set, shocking the host in tears of happiness.
“I’m really grateful that you came here,” says Barrymore.
Letterman’s last episode as host of “The Late Show” aired in 2015, but he can still bring the funny.
“Do you know that little trick with the computer, that Zoomer thing? It was my idea, ”he said.
Steven Spielberg, Barrymore’s director of “ET” and his best man, will also be at the birthday party.
