Aaron Rodgers for Amari Rodgers?
Wide receiver Clemson and the 2021 draft prospect said that being drafted by the Packers and landing with the NFL MVP in Green Bay would be the scene of their dreams.
“I will say the second round for the Packers,” said Rodgers when asked by former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall at the 2021 House of Athlete Scouting Combine Showcase.
Rodgers, who finished with 181 receptions for 2,144 yards and 15 touchdowns in 55 career games at Clemson, noted the Packers quarterback’s accuracy as the main reason for wanting to end at Green Bay. He also said his relentless commitment to staying the same page that his quarterback during practice – looking at the path Rodgers and Davante Adams took to become one of the best NFL quarterback receiver combinations – would make him suitable for playing for the Packers.
“I feel like I could get in there and fit right in,” said Rodgers.
Packers are entering the off-season with a need for a slot receiver. Rodgers, who acted in several ways in the Clemson attack, could be the ideal player to do all the things that coach Matt LaFleur needs with a slot receiver and contraption weapon in his attack.
Rodgers appointed Steve Smith and Jarvis Landry as recipients that he admired or modeled his game during his college career. In Green Bay, he could be a player similar to Randall Cobb.
The Draft Network believes that Rodgers has a chance to be a “featured slot receiver” at the next level.

What is Rodgers hearing about his draft stock? “Second to third round now,” said Rodgers, although he is confident he can improve his status with a strong workout on Clemson’s professional day.
The Packers have 62nd choice in the second round of the 2021 draft. Ten years ago, the Packers used Cobb’s 64th overall choice, which gave Rodgers one of the best slot machines in football.
