Drake is hitting the brakes on his next album.
Fans of the 34-year-old rapper will have to wait a little longer for Certified Lover to drop. The “Laugh Now Cry Later” singer went to social media to give an update on his life, while sharing why he is postponing the release of new songs.
“I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehabilitation, my energy was dedicated to recovery,” Drake started his story on Instagram on Wednesday, January 20th. “I’m blessed to be back to normal feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB it will not fall in January. “
He ended, “I look forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
Although rapper “Take Care” did not share any specific details about his injury, he previously posted a photo in his Instagram story that showed his knee wrapped in a cast.
“In fact, I want to use this post to send love and motivation to anyone that the year 2020 has come loose,” he wrote in October. “Start writing the best recovery story NOW.”
