Waiting for the next Drake Certified Lover album will continue for longer than fans expected.
On Wednesday night (January 20), 6ix God used his Instagram account to tell the world that his new LP – the one he said he would leave this month – will not arrive in January at any time.
“I was planning to release my album this month, but between surgery and rehab my energy was dedicated to recovery,” wrote Drake in a post about his story on IG. “I am blessed to be on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB is not going to fall in January. I look forward to sharing that with all of you in 2021.”
Drake originally said that his new album would come last summer, but after that didn’t materialize, he changed course. Last fall, he said he would release the album in January, but now it won’t.
Apart from the first single, “Laugh Now Cry Later” assisted by Lil Durk, not much is known about Drizzy’s next LP. However, he offered an opinion on how his fans would feel about the project.
In an Instagram conversation with his father Dennis Graham, Drake said he thought people would hate his new project.
“They hated views as they go CLB but it’s a song to evolve into, “said Drizzy to his father, who was telling the rapper how much he liked Drizzy’s music Views album.
People will just have to wait and see.
