Square Enix will launch a team action RPG developed by DeNA Dragon Quest Dai’s adventure: a hero’s bonds for iOS and Android in the west, the editor announced. Pre-registration is now available for Android via Google Play.
Dragon Quest Dai’s adventure: a hero’s bonds was first announced in May 2020 in Japan, where it is known as Dragon Quest Dai’s adventure: Tamashii no Kizuna and planned for launch in 2021.
Square Enix will host a closed Android beta test for the west from April 7-15. Registration is now available until April 4.

History
Fight, Avan’s Disciples!
In a world plagued by the forces of evil, a swordsman and his companions set out to defeat Hadlar, the Dark Lord.
It has been many years since The Hero restored peace to the land …On an isolated island in the southern seas, a boy named Dai lives among monsters, longing to become a hero one day. However, everything changes when the Dark Lord is revived.
With another crisis facing the world, Dai makes a promise to his mentor, finds new friends and slowly learns about his own inevitable destiny … This is the beginning of Dai’s adventure and his quest to become a true hero!
Characters
- So – Taken to the beach on Dermline Island as a baby, Dai was raised by the shaman Brass. More recently, his latent talents have blossomed under the tutelage of Avan, the hero who once saved Hadlar’s world.
- Popp – Admirer of the hero Avan, Popp became his apprentice to train as a magician. He gets carried away easily and has a tendency to run away when the going gets tough, but he also has a compassionate side.
- Lady – She defends her hometown of Nayle with the magic bullet weapon given to her by the hero Avan. Maam is a stubborn girl who is serious, but she is full of goodness inside.
- A van – This ex-hero serves as a mentor for Dai and his friends. In the past, he defeated the Dark Lord and saved the world. Despite his mischievous side, he has an unwavering will and is a kind teacher.
- Crocodine – The commander of the Furfang Legion of the Dark Army, a contingent of cruel monsters. Bold and proud, he is not afraid of death on the battlefield.
- Hyunckel – The commander of the Legion of the Undead of the Army of Darkness, a corps of warriors that has transcended death itself. He fights with the Dark Armor Blade, which can repel offensive spells cast in his path. Although he was Avan’s first disciple, he has a deep resentment against his former master.
- Hadlar – Once known as the Dark Lord, his army of monsters was strong enough to threaten the entire world. Sometime after being defeated by Avan, he was revived by Vearn, the King of Darkness.

- A new adventure: journey of union – The Bonding Journey is an entirely new story written under the supervision of Riku Sanjo! It is set in the mysterious world of Milladosia, which bears an impressive resemblance to the world seen in Dai’s adventure. Pinky, the pink Dracky (designed by Koji Inada) guides our hero. Pinky is a little clumsy, which usually causes some problems …
- The star of the story is you – the luminous leader! – Join Dai and his friends as you fight to protect the two worlds and the many ties that bind their inhabitants together! You can change your hairstyle, face, gender and more! Customize your character and adventure with style!
- Change vocations and gain an advantage! – As a Luminar Leader, you can switch to a variety of vocations, such as warrior, martial artist, magician and more! Choose the one that best suits your style of play!

- Advance your allies in dynamic three-lane battles! – Engage in dynamic and intuitive three-lane battles! Unleash powerful attacks while enjoying simple yet deep gameplay! Play cooperative multiplayer with up to three players and conquer your enemies!
Gameplay
- Increase your equipment and skills and accept new missions! – Strengthen the weapons, armor and skills and abilities of the characters. Complete missions, increase power and take on fierce enemies!
- Strengthen your allies with the Bonding Halo system! – Approach your allies by venturing together! When a character’s friendship level is increased, they become even stronger, and you will also unlock special scenes with them! Strengthen your bonds and grow together as a team!
