Looks like Dragon Age 4 will be taking BioWare’s esteemed RPG series to Tevinter, a place in the world of Thedas that the studio never explored.

Some important details about the next BioWare sequence were revealed in BioWare: stores and secrets of 25 years of game development, a new art book that takes readers on a tour of BioWare’s colorful history.

Eurogamer managed to get its hands on the book and recorded an important entry in Dragon Age on its pages that confirms “the long-awaited continuation of Dragon Age: Inquisition […] will take players to Tevinter while the events of the Inquisition and Trespasser threaten to change Thedas forever. “

This location was suggested earlier, thanks to the end of the Inquisition and the events that take place in the aforementioned DLC Trespasser. We won’t write spoilers here, but the narrative hits the DLC and the story lines revolving around the dividing elf, Solas, point to Tevinter as the next key location in the world.

Eurogamer points out that there may be more locations in the game suggested by the book. “The art of a sparkling city surrounded by water almost certainly shows Antiva City, the capital of Antiva, an area bordering Tevinter to the east,” he says. Tom Phillips website.

“The conceptual art of an Antivan Crow is also shown; a theatrical assassin ‘renowned for his mastery of killing with style’ who wears an elaborate mask, wields a shining sword and has several fellow royal crows. “

Dragon Age 4 has been in development for some years and was first presented at The Game Awards in 2018 before it was properly shown during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August last year.

EA said it expects Dragon Age 4 to arrive in 2022 or later, so don’t be too excited about what you’re seeing here yet.
