Germany plans to extend its blockade to the coronavirus until March 28, but will allow small private meetings starting on Monday, a draft agreement for negotiations between Chancellor Angela Merkel and the leader of the federal states showed.

In the project, which still needs to be settled on Wednesday, florists, bookstores and garden shops will be able to reopen, while other retailers can do business in regions where coronavirus infections are below 35 per 100,000 in 7 days and under strict hygiene requirements , the project showed.

Germany will appeal to citizens to avoid national and international travel during the Easter holiday, but will make an exception for small family gatherings over the holidays, the project said, seen by Reuters on Tuesday.
