Dr. Tiffany Osborn met with the family after living last year in a trailer to keep COVID-19 away

ST. LOUIS – Last March, a BJC doctor on the frontline decided to distance herself from her family in order not to bring the COVID-19 home.

“I had the same concerns as all health professionals: am I going to get infected? But, most importantly, am I going to infect my family?” Tiffany Osborn said.

Dr. Tiffany Osborn of the BJC took extreme measures to protect her family from the coronavirus, she bought a trailer to live in and remain isolated.

Osborn is an emergency room and ICU doctor who has lived in her RV for the past year. She said it was a decision she and her family made to prevent the disease from entering her home.

Osborn said he would work three weeks in a row, with no days off, so he could isolate himself for a few days, get tested and see his family for just a few days before returning to the hospital.

Now, after a full year, she is finally fully reunited with her family. “It took a while for the transition, but as soon as I came back, it was fantastic,” said Osborn. “I mean, it was wonderful to have the opportunity to really experience being together again consistently.”

Osborne said that staying with his family again would not have been possible without the COVID-19 vaccine. She said the only way to get back to normal – is to take those pictures.
