Dr. Mehmet Oz begins his controversy Danger! limit it tonight, and if Monday’s teaser is any indication, social media will not be a warm place for the media personality.

It was revealed in February that Oz, who rose to fame as a health specialist in The Oprah Winfrey Show, was added to the list of invited hosts after the death of Alex Trebek. The announcement was immediately met with criticism from fans and former contestants due to the doctor’s divisive nature, with many pointing out his history of selling “unfounded” and “wrong” medical advice on television. That narrative resurfaced on Monday after the official Danger! account tweeted a preview of Oz’s monologue.

“It is an honor to be a guest host,” begins Oz. “I was lucky to befriend Alex and visit him and this show whenever I could. One of my favorite memories was of Alex showing me with immense pride, a room full of letters of support and love for him from you, the fans . “

This love was not reciprocated in the direction of Oz. The clip has been viewed over a million times with Danger! fans upset with The Dr. Oz Show host’s involvement in a game show about, you know, facts.

Oz was labeled a “snake oil salesman,” a term that has followed him since being questioned on Capitol Hill in 2014 for selling “magic weight loss” cures on his show. (“Actually, I personally believe in the items I talk about in the program. I study them passionately. I recognize that they often do not have the scientific summons to present as facts,” Oz said to members of a Senate panel at one point. )

Many legalists saw the Oz show as a “disgrace” to Trebek’s legacy and asked viewers to boycott the show for two weeks.

Yes, overall the feedback was not positive.

Oz did not respond to the most recent criticism.
