Dr. Oz reportedly saved a man’s life after he passed out at Newark Airport, New Jersey, on Monday night.

The television host began to apply cardiopulmonary resuscitation to him before using a defibrillator after a man fell to the floor on the baggage claim, according to TMZ.

Oz – whose full name is Mehmet Cengiz Öz – was in the right place at the right time when the man ‘lost control’, while the doctor ‘brought him back to life while a huge crowd watched’ from the terminal.

“Last night, a man passed out near me and my family after we arrived at Newark airport,” said Dr. Oz in a statement to DailyMail.com. “I performed CPR with the help of a Newark Port Authority police officer and cleaned the man’s airways.

“Fortunately, Newark Airport had a nearby defibrillator that we were able to use to save his life. As a doctor and a human being, it is our responsibility to intervene when there is a medical emergency. ‘

Adding: “Another critical reminder of how important it is to take the time to learn how to do CPR and use a defibrillator. You can save a life. ‘

The doctor reported that the man ‘was getting a horrible color and had foam coming out of his mouth when he started CPR’.

A Port Authority policeman allegedly helped Dr. Oz to continue CPR and clear the man’s airways.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the man was 60 years old and that the defibrillator was used with as much power as possible.

The man was taken to a local hospital in the New Jersey area and is ‘fine’, depending on the lab’s results, but may have suffered a heart attack.
