The state Department of Public Health reported on Sunday that there are 5,396 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community. Since the pandemic began in Massachusetts, there have been 413,329 confirmed cases of the virus, including an estimated 90,567 active cases.
In addition, the state reported that 77 more people in Massachusetts died while confirming cases of COVID-19. The state has recorded 12,875 deaths among people with confirmed cases of the virus since the pandemic began in spring 2020.
In an update of the state’s test numbers on Sunday, DPH reported that 81,754 new molecular tests were administered in Massachusetts for COVID-19. In total, the community distributed 11,717,313 molecular tests for the virus.
The state’s seven-day weighted average of positive molecular tests dropped to 7.21% on Sunday.
The state Department of Public Health reported on Saturday that there are 7,110 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community, according to its latest daily panel of coronavirus statistics. This pushes the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state to 407,933 since the pandemic began.
In addition, DPH reported that an additional 90 people died in the state while confirming cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalities in the community among people who had confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 12,798.
In an update of the state’s test numbers on Saturday, DPH announced that 109,793 new molecular tests were administered in the community for COVID-19. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the state has distributed 11,635,559 molecular tests for the virus.
The state’s seven-day weighted average of positive molecular tests dropped to 7.35% on Saturday.

In an update of the state’s test numbers, DPH reported on Friday that 108,569 new molecular tests were administered in the community for COVID-19. Since the outbreak began in Massachusetts, the state has seen 11,525,766 molecular tests for the virus.
The state’s seven-day weighted average of positive molecular tests dropped to 7.49% on Friday.
There are 7,136 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Massachusetts on Thursday, DPH reported, based on Wednesday’s data.
