LEE COUNTY, Florida – The Florida Department of Health in Lee County will distribute the Modern COVID-19 vaccine to the most vulnerable starting December 28.
Dozens of cars camped overnight on December 27 to secure their place in the queue.
High-risk frontline health workers and those 65 and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine at vaccination sites. The Lee County Health Department will have 300 doses of the vaccine at each location.

The vaccine will be free and consultation is not necessary. Patients will need to bring an identification document that proves their age or a copy of an identification badge or paycheck for healthcare professionals, the Health Department said.
The Modern vaccine requires that a second dose be given at least 28 days after the first dose.
