Dow futures fell 252 points, or 0.8%. S&P 500 futures fell 1%, while Nasdaq futures fell 1.2%.
US stocks ended a turbulent week in sharp decline on Friday. The Dow and S&P 500 recorded their first monthly losses since October. During the week, both indices, as well as the Nasdaq Composite, also recorded losses.
The Dow (INDU) closed 2%, or 622 points, lower, while the S&P (INX) ended the day with a drop of 1.9%. The Nasdaq (COMP) fell 2%.
The volatile week came in the wake of a lot of trends: analysts fear that the massive squeeze on GameStop and other Reddit favorites is starting to restrict liquidity in other parts of the market as investors shrink positions. In addition, the earnings season is in full swing and investors are making profits.
