The stock ended in a fall on Friday, falling towards session lows in the closing minutes of trading. Technology-related stocks jumped after a defeat caused by a sharp increase in Treasury yields, but still suffered weekly losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA,
ended with a loss of about 475 points, or 1.5%, close to 30,928, according to preliminary data. The blue-chip indicator ended the week with a drop of 1.8%, with a dampened drop by a rotation in shares of companies more sensitive to the economic cycle. The S&P 500 SPX,
gave up a modest gain before the closing bell, ending with a loss of around 18 points, or 0.5%, close to 3,811 and leaving it with a weekly drop of 2.5%. The high-tech Nasdaq Compound held on to a gain of about 73 points, or 0.6%, to close Friday at around 13,332, after suffering its biggest one-day percentage drop since October in the previous session. The Nasdaq suffered a 4.9% weekly drop.
