“Dorchester County is working with BCD COG, our municipalities, state officials, our Congressional delegation and other partners to address the needs identified in the plan,” said Dorchester County Administrator Jason Ward in a statement. “Taking advantage of CDBG and EDA grant opportunities, the Dorchester County government updated and expanded the St. George Library, opened a Quick Jobs Center for training workers in partnership with Trident Technical College with a computer lab and installed tanks water in the Shady Grove Community Ridgeville Community. With the installation of a new water and sewage and hydrants infrastructure in Harleyville and St. George, new job opportunities are being created and taking these communities forward, while supporting additional housing and community development. ”
