Doom Eternal ends the epic Doom Slayer saga in the Ancient Gods Part II DLC tomorrow • Eurogamer.net

Doom Eternal is ending its increasingly ridiculous saga tomorrow, March 18, with the release of its second and final campaign DLC, Ancient Gods Part Two.

Tomorrow’s DLC does not limit Doom Eternal, however; it also brings an end to the history of the Doom Slayer seen for the first time in the 2016 Doom reboot, concluding with a plot that, between the usual hellfire and decimated urban landscapes, relies heavily on high fantasy.

As seen in the trailer below, the Doom Slayer’s journey to the Dark Lord’s fortress – for a final and epic showdown – takes you to cities nestled between extensive forests and ice-capped mountains, impossible waterfalls at the end of the world, and there are still time for a dragon or two.

New enemies include the Armored Baron, Stone Imp and Cursed Prowler, and our immortal protagonist even gets a new weapon in the form of the self-explanatory Sentinel Hammer.

The Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Part Two DLC will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia and PC when it launches tomorrow, March 18. It can be purchased separately or as part of the £ 25 Year One pass, which is also included in the Deluxe Edition of the game.
