Don’t you know your switch? Nintendo is offering a free “concierge” service to new owners

Considering that the Switch sold almost 80 million units, it’s no exaggeration to believe that some players are not doing complete use of it. If you are not so familiar with modern games, Nintendo has now launched a new service designed to make your life easier.

Called the “Nintendo Switch Concierge” program – currently only available in North America – it offers individual video conferences virtually with a Nintendo representative. Best of all, it is completely free and sessions are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nintendo is currently offering six 30-minute sessions and you can reserve times in advance. These cover:

  • Customization
  • Games (first steps)
  • Games (what to play next)
  • Nintendo Account
  • Nintendo Switch 101
  • Security and privacy

Given Nintendo’s recent statements about boosting console sales, this appears to be a new step in the word of mouth initiative, offering clear assistance to new customers. The Switch Concierge will only work until February 22, but if it succeeds, we wouldn’t be surprised if it were extended.
