BOSTON (CBS) – The Better Business Bureau is warning people not to share photos of their COVID-19 vaccine card on social media, despite how excited they are. After receiving the first dose of the COVID vaccine, you will receive a card with personal information.
“Unfortunately, your card has your full name and birthday, as well as information about where you got the vaccine. If your social media privacy settings are not high, you can provide valuable information for anyone to use, ”said BBB
Scammers can use this information to make and sell fake cards online, which has already happened in the UK.
If you want to share that you’ve been vaccinated, BBB recommends posting a photo of your vaccine sticker.
