Speaking at his first major event since his family left the White House last month, Donald Trump Jr. on Friday attacked President Joe Biden and recycled his complaints against anti-Trump Republicans, “big tech”, the mainstream media and the results of the 2020 elections.
He began his speech at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) calling it “TPAC”, jokingly, and assaulting Biden for ordering air strikes on Syria just a few weeks after his administration began.

“Who would have guessed that in 33 days, we would be bombing the Middle East again?” Trump Jr. said.
He then turned his aim to Wyoming MP Liz Cheney, the third highest-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives who made headlines by voting for Trump’s impeachment last month.
“I’m sure she has a lot of bipartisan support because if there is one thing she and Joe Biden definitely want to do is bomb the Middle East,” said Trump Jr.
“Liz Cheney and his policy are only slightly less popular than his father in quail hunting,” he added, referring to when then Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot his friend in the face in 2006, while the two were hunting together.
Trump Jr. went on to call young Cheney “Lincoln Project Liz” and accused her of representing “RINO” policies – Republican in name only, “the kind of policy that put the Republican Party in a position where it needed a Donald Trump. “
Cheney “is connected to a system that has done nothing but let us down repeatedly,” said Trump Jr. “You heard the rhetoric of some of them in the past few weeks and now you’ve seen this change very quickly. Republican Party has been really good in the last few decades, it is snatching defeat from the clutches of victory. “
He also seemed to refer sarcastically to the more than 80 million American voters who voted for Biden, putting the number in quotes in the air. The ex-president and his allies have repeatedly claimed that Biden did not really get that many votes because many of them were fraudulent (they were not).

Trump Jr. also turned his attention to Biden’s son Hunter, who is currently under federal criminal investigation because of his tax affairs and commercial activities abroad.
“I’m sure he is making billions in China now, don’t worry,” said Trump Jr., who has repeatedly praised the Trump Organization’s business abroad. He then accused both Bidens of “corruption”, an old point of discussion in conservative political circles, adding: “We were all talking about this, boys. It was nothing new, but that shouldn’t surprise us either.”
Fact check: Although young Biden is under criminal investigation, there is no evidence that the president had any knowledge or involvement in the activities under scrutiny.
Trump Jr. later attacked “big technology”, saying “it will silence you if you speak out against it. They will crush you. They will call you a racist and everything.”
“This is what we are fighting against, people,” he added. “But together, we can win these fights. We have to be expressive. We cannot be cornered. We must be open and engaged.”
“So I’m looking forward to Sunday,” said Trump Jr., referring to the ex-president’s speech. “I imagine it will not be what we call low-energy speech, and I assure you that it will solidify Donald Trump and all his feelings about the MAGA movement as the future of the Republican Party.”
